Climate chance presents one of the greatest challenges to the conservation of biodiversity globally. It seems obvious, as a result, that conservation plans and strategies should adapt to face this new threat, but how do we actually do this? What do we know about how climate change and how it may put species more at risk or less at risk? What are our options to change how and where we invest conservation dollars? While it’s often stated that climate change is creating a new conservation landscape, it’s not entirely clear what that landscape looks like. Only now do we have a small window of opportunity to define what it should look like.
