The Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework – From Adoption to Monitoring for Success

Join us on Thursday, May 4th, at 4:00pm (EST) to hear Jillian Campbell, the Head of Monitoring, Review, and Reporting at the UN Convention of Biological Diversity, discuss the crucial next steps for the implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework and the importance of a robust monitoring framework to achieving the goals within. Her 20-30 minute talk will be followed by a 30 minute Q&A session with attendees.

This event will cap the Yale EEB graduate course “From biodiversity science to conservation impact – science supporting the Post-2020 Framework of the Convention on Biological Diversity”. The course spent the semester exploring the scientific basis of the international policy agreement and the crucial role of environmental and biodiversity science in achieving the goals of the Framework.

The event will be hosted on Zoom and open to all. Yale affiliates are also welcome to join our watch party, co-sponsored by the Conservation Biology Student Interest Group, in Watson B31 (with refreshments and donuts provided!).
