Software Engineer - Deep Learning for Biodiversity Science
We are seeking an enthusiastic software engineer with a background in deep learning and a passion for applications of machine learning to environmental science and conservation. You will contribute to the training, testing, and deployment of deep learning models for species detection and identification in visual (camera trap, drone) and acoustic recordings.
Data Scientist - Remote Sensing of Individual Trees
We are seeking an enthusiastic data scientist with background in photogrammetry and geospatial data processing to develop workflows for single tree identifications for biodiversity science and conservation applications.
Field Assistant/Technician: UAV-based Tropical Biodiversity Monitoring
We are seeking junior scientists with an interest in fieldwork in the tropics and experience in the use of UAVs.
Field Technician: Rainforest Biodiversity Monitoring
We are seeking an early-career field biologist with an interest in ecological surveys of tropical rainforest biodiversity and a competitive spirit to join the Map of Life Rapid Assessments team for the finals of the XPRIZE Rainforest competition in the Summer of 2024.
Postdoc Position - Deep learning-informed spatial biodiversity science
We are seeking a highly quantitative scientist with a strong background in machine and deep learning and an interest in the modeling of spatial biodiversity patterns and trends for a 2-3 year postdoc position conducting research using cutting-edge deep learning towards predicting, monitoring, and understanding of spatial ecological processes at scale.
Postdoc Position - Assessing ecological change with biodiversity sensor data
We are seeking a highly quantitative scientist with a strong background in data integration and interest in studying global biodiversity change for a 2-3 year postdoc with a particular focus in the analysis of visual, acoustic, and other biodiversity sensor data in combination with remotely sensed and other environmental data to quantify ecological change across taxa and regions.
