Areas of Interest
I am a data analyst with a focus in using spatial data and geospatial software to study biodiversity and environmental concerns. My prior research spanned terrestrial and marine ecosystems and social and ecological dimensions. This included analyzing species occupancy in the tropical forest of Belize, conducting ecosystem accounting for US National Wildlife Refuges, studying transboundary management of highly migratory species in the Atlantic Ocean, researching the effect of deforestation on lemur distributions in Madagascar, and assessing the community and ecological impacts of offshore wind on the US West Coast. Additionally, I have hands-on experience with various wildlife through animal husbandry, behavioral analysis, and environmental education at different zoos and aquariums. I hold a B.S. in Forestry, Fisheries, and Wildlife from The Ohio State University and a Masters in Environmental Management and Certificate in Geospatial Analysis from Duke University. In my free time, I enjoy painting environmental landscapes and wildlife.
