Rediet Taye is a sophomore at Yale College in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology with certificates in Data Science and Ethnography. She grew up in Kenya in awe of the incredible wildlife she was surrounded by. She came to Yale as an undergraduate in 2022 eager to explore her fascination with the behavior and movement of keystone species. At the Jetz lab she participates in the translation of raw tracks into digital histories of animals by sourcing data to integrate into large geospatial tools to map the movement of individuals through space and time. Her research interests engage the intersection of wildlife ecology and people under contemporary models of conservation.
