I am a German master’s student at ETH Zurich, specializing in the intersection of ecology and informatics. I am currently conducting my thesis research under the joint supervision of Prof. Walter Jetz at Yale University and Prof. Niklaus Zimmermann at ETH Zurich. My research leverages movement data to spatially characterize habitat suitability for migratory animals, with a particular emphasis on how habitat preferences vary across different stages of migration, between individuals, and across species.

During my undergraduate studies at ETH, I gained research experience in the lab of Prof. Loïc Pellissier, where I developed models integrating eDNA and remote sensing data to model fish biodiversity in tropical river ecosystems. I also created a web application that automates the creation of environmentally stratified eDNA sampling designs based on remote sensing variables. Additionally, I explored the combined influence of soil and climate on treeline dynamics across Europe during a semester project in the group of Prof. Verena Griess.

Outside of research, I am passionate about outdoor activities such as running, hiking, cycling, and climbing. I also enjoy traveling to remote and wild places. My love for nature motivates my desire to understand and preserve it.
