Half-Earth Day 2021, taking place this Friday October 22 starting at 9AM EDT, is almost here! The event, organized by the E.O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation in partnership with the Eden Project and presenting sponsor CBRE, will be held virtually with live streams from the U.S. and The Royal Geographical Society in London.

BGC Center Director Walter Jetz and several BGC Center members will give presentations throughout the event.

Walter Jetz, Aurore Maureaud, and Stefan Pinkert will present during Science & Conservation 1: Evidence and Scientific Foundations at 10AM EDT.

Walter Jetz will speak during the Area-based Conservation and Earth System Plenary and Panel Discussion at 12PM EDT.

Scott Rinnan will present during Education & Technology 2: H-EP Map Update at 1PM EDT.

Walter Jetz will give an introduction to the HOW TO SAVE THE NATURAL WORLD Plenary Discussion featuring SirTim Smit, Sir David Attenborough, and E.O. Wilson, at 2PM EDT.
