The BGC Center’s very own postdoctoral associate Jussi Mäkinen recently presented his work on new species distribution models at the International Biogeography Society’s Early Career Conference. His poster presentation, “Utilities of combined data approach for species range wide SDMs” won first prize in the conference’s poster award. Jussi’s work shows the benefits of using multiple species data sets to estimate species distributions and supports species conservation actions and environmental management on a continental scale.
